Dog Bites
Procedure for responding to dog bites in Pasquotank County:
Dog bites should be promptly reported to Pasquotank County Animal Services by calling 252-331-1500. The animal must be located, vaccination status verified, and the animal quarantined for a period of 10 days from the date of the bite.
A bite report is created with the victim’s information. Also included in the report is the animal owner’s information, the animal’s description, location and circumstances surrounding the bite.
The report is filed with the Pasquotank County Health Department and a copy is maintained by Pasquotank County Animal Services.
